Tips for perfect application of mascaras

Friday June 20, 2008

Getting your mascara to look just right can be a little tricky. These things take practice and you want different looks each time - ';come hither' eyes aren't really suitable for work. Think about the sort of look you're trying to achieve.

Mascaras can be so easy to apply. Once you've got it down to a fine art, mascara might very well be the one makeup item you end up wearing when getting ready in a hurry.

Apply mascara after you curl your lashes. Curling mascara is useful to help set your lashes.

When applying mascara, wiggle the wand to separate lashes. A lash defining mascara may also help.

Several thin coats of mascara are better than one thick one.

If you really want your mascaras to last, use a mascara primer.

You don't have to wear the same mascaras on the top and the bottom; you can mix up your mascara colours. For a subtle day look, try black mascaras on the top lashes and brown mascaras on the bottom lashes.
